ROBERT L. LAPIDUS, M.D.
Dr. Robert Lapidus is President and Chief Medical Officer of MidSouth
Radiology Partners. He completed medical school at The Johns Hopkins University
School of Medicine, residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Vanderbilt Medical
Center, and fellowship in CT/MRI/Ultrasound at The University of Miami/Jackson
Memorial Medical Center. Dr. Lapidus is currently Chairman of Diagnostic
Radiology at Doctors Hospital in Opelousas. His practice has expanded
with the formation of MidSouth Radiology Partners, which provides radiology
services for several Louisiana hospitals as well as Imaging centers in
Louisiana and Texas.
MARK BAKKEN
A graduate of Oregon State University, Mr. Bakken is Executive Vice President
and co-Founder of Mid-South Radiology. He also is Co-Founder of The Radlinx
Group. Mr. Bakken has over 15 years of experience in health care staffing
and management. Prior to forming his own companies, he served as vice
president of one of the nation's largest health care staffing firms. Mr.
Bakken is a noted expert on radiology management issues, and a regular
columnist for the publication Advance for Radiologic Science Professionals.
He has been published or cited in numerous publications, including Modern
Healthcare, Diagnostic Imaging, Radiology Management, Hospitals &
Health Networks, Inc., Health Leaders, Catholic Health World and many
others. Mr. Bakken is responsible for a wide range of operational and
strategic management issues for the various companies with which he is
involved.
GREG LOWENSTEIN
Greg Lowenstein serves as Chairman of the Board of MidSouth Radiology
Partners. Mr. Lowenstein is responsible for the strategic, global management
of the firm, overseeing internal functions and client relations. Mr. Lowenstein
also is CEO of The Radlinx Group, which is a national firm engaged in
off site night time teleradiology services. Mr. Lowenstein brings a wide
range of health care management experience to his positions, having held
management positions with start-up firms to Fortune 500 companies. His
experience includes the director of sales, marketing and operations in
physician practice management and in the healthcare distribution segment.
On the distribution side, Mr. Lowenstein pioneered the first vendor provided
contract materials program in the country. As Vice President of a large,
national emergency medicine management firm, he led successful integration
efforts as part of merger activities associated with the sale of the company.
Mr. Lowenstein also worked as Director of Sales for one of the largest
medical equipment manufacturers in the world. Mr. Lowenstein is a leading
authority and nationally recognized expert on medical practice billing
and reimbursements issues. Additionally Mr. Lowenstein is a noted expert
in radiology management, Mr. Lowenstein contributes a regular column to
Advance for Administrators in Radiology, a national publication for radiology
managers. He has been published or cited in a wide range of health care
journals, including Trustee, American Medical News, Diagnostic Imaging
and a variety of others. Mr. Lowenstein is a graduate of the University
of Illinois, Champaign-Urba.
MICAH KENNEDY
Mr. Kennedy serves as Vice President of Physician Services for MidSouth
Radiology Partners. A seasoned health care recruiting professional, Mr.
Kennedy served as a recruiting consultant for Merritt, Hawkins & Associates,
prior to joining MidSouth Radiology Partners. Mr. Kennedy conducts or
supervises all permanent Radiologist search assignments for MidSouth Radiology
Partners and serves as a liaison between MidSouth Radiology Partners physicians
and its hospital and medical practice clients.
A graduate of Newberry College, Mr. Kennedy lives
in Dallas, Texas.
DARYL MILLER
Mr. Miller is Vice President of Clinical Operations. He has over 30 years
of Radiology Management experience, and was formerly administrative director
of Radiology services at Doctors Hospital in Opelousas, Louisiana. Mr.
Miller has vast experience in hospital administration including business
office and risk management.
RICHARD BROKER
Richard Broker serves as Vice President of Clinical Operations for MidSouth
Radiology Partners. He is responsible for ensuring the efficiency of MSRP's
national on-site and remote radiology reading systems, which incorporate
a wide range of imaging technologies and modalties.
Mr. Broker holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Radiologic
Technology and a Masters Degree in Business Administration. He is a registered
radiographer with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Mr. Broker served as Clinical Director Of Baylor University
Medical Center's School of Radiologic Technology in Dallas, Texas. He
also served as Administrative Director of HCA Medical Center in Plano,
Texas. In addition, Broker architecturally designed, built and operated
the largest freestanding radiology reading center in the United States
and served as its Director of Operations.
Mr. Broker is a considered one of the nation's leading
experts on radiography. His expertise covers a broad range of radiography
issues, including digital applications, remote reading, radiographer training
and administration, and all phases of radiography operations
JEANNE BIENVENU
Mrs Bienvenu is executive assistant for Physicians with MidSouth Radiology.
She has over 20 years of experience in the health care industry, and was
formerly President of a Louisiana communications company in which physicians
and other health care professionals were a large percentage of its customer
base.
